Thanks to Mike D for introducing me to some badly needed new tunes. Thao Nguyen with the Get Down Stay Down’s album “We Brave Bee Stings and All” has been in heavy rotation in my head for over a month now. Little did I know that she recorded most of the album at Jackpot studios here in Portland. With any luck I’ll be seeing her play at Holocene on July 29th.

Hearing of this, Tokusan sent his attendant to summon Ganto, and said to him, “Do you not approve of me?” Ganto leaned over and whispered his reply to him. Tokusan said nothing further. Seems odd that it took me this long to start a blog. I had a webpage way back when one had pay extra for a “PPP” internet connection in order to use the Web instead of just gopher, usenet, irc, and the text-based web. And before that I was a super-geek spending too much time on local indianapolis BBSs. Now that everyone else in the world has a blog I suppose I might as well join the club.
